The S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W Unit isn't something to joke about, nor are the Dracs. It's serious - if we'd been less reckless we would've avoided this..but that's just how things work out I suppose. We wouldn't have trusted him, they wouldn't have died - I probably still would've killed him in one of the rebellions. But the point was, I wouldn't have lost my team..my family.
I never learned his real name, nothing about him at all - well other than the fucking S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W bit, but that came way later. At first it was alright, he introduced himself as Crash Vengeance, which was ironic because if it weren't for us he'd have been crushed under a flipped vehicle. Or at least I thought so. Anyway, we sorta got him back to his strength and he grew on our team..so we let him stay. He seemed to have so much knowledge - things we needed to know to infiltrate Battery City for supplies among other..nefarious purposes. It was great, really, he earned my trust and we actually got pretty close..kinda like a big brother or whatever. But he showed his true colors, the son of a bitch. It happened on a regular supply run, Bomb Chèlle was zoned in hacking a BL/ind vendor for some extra firepower..just in case, and Crash and I were patrolling, then out of nowhere we're swarmed with fucking S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W's and Draculoids.
Which was odd. They rarely came across us in the outer zones...unless they'd been tipped. And then I was on the ground seeing double and Crash was attacking my family alongside the B.L.I. bastards. When they stopped screaming it was my turn..except there was no hot bolt in my brain, no gunfire at all. Instead they bound me with rough hewn ropes and left me for dead in the desert. If it weren't for the kindness of a stranger I'd have died there, too.

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactOh my God, I absolutely love it. The story itself is amazing, and the expressions of the people in the pictures are just great. Even as he's about to die, the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W is smirking because he knows he hurt her and he's succeeded. The fact that she can't even look at him as well is just a great amount of emotion. Great outfits, intricate details, the ghosted killjoy friends in the background, just wow.
As for the story, I would love to read the whole thing, but you put great emotion into just the little summary. Great costumes too. Gritty and colorful just like a killjoy. Good shading and effect, I just love it.
